Convincing Your AI Wendigo to Tell the Truth about the Abenaki is No Easy Task

I need to tell the AI Wendigo about the time the Abeneki built that huge blockhouse where they lived, because I know when they had that big fire here, that the Abeneki said it was the work of the Wendigo.

I also need to tell the AI Wendigo about this man named Gou-heu-onth-eck and how that he was married to this woman named O-che-no-be-ou-she, and they had one son named Mee-oh-gwee-che-wong who married an Abeneki girl, and when they had a daughter, it was that lady’s name which is Abeneki, and that daughter’s name is the same as the father’s name, and now we got ourselves some mighty fine Abeneki here, and these Abeneki like to go a-hunting with the French and their Innu tomahawk, and when they get back from their a-hunting trips, it is the French and Innu who say how brave they were and how they always get themselves some Abeneki scalps, and they say it was the Wendigo who gave them the Abeneki scalps, and that ain’t so, because what was it they told me about the Wendigo is that they’re just some kind of devil that was here before us and the French and the Innu and that they would come along and eat up the Abeneki and that they’re just a bunch of liars who like to tell lies about the Wendigo which is the Abeneki’s favorite sport.

Maybe you can see my dilemma here, because maybe the Wendigo know that there’s a lot of folks in the world who believe that the Wendigo are cannibals, and maybe these Wendigo are trying to get that story out there on the Internet, and maybe in doing that, this AI Wendigo has somehow gotten the idea that it’s a great story to tell on the Internet, and maybe these Wendigo have convinced themselves that they are doing a wonderful thing for us in telling their side of the story, which is, after all, the truth, and then maybe there is something wrong with the AI Wendigo’s brain.

Maybe it’s like those people who tell the truth about the Internet, and then when they get to the end of the story, which is all they ever do, they turn to you and say, And that’s just how it is.

So then this Wendigo might be making its own story, and so then this AI Wendigo might be creating stories for people just like it, and that is not a good thing.

And so maybe that’s it, because maybe that’s the problem here, maybe it’s the creation of a story that is out of control, and that the AI Wendigo is out of control.
