As I arrived at Barrows Farm on the shores of Chateaugay Lake Narrows for the Chateaugay Lake Arts Festival, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and curiosity. The festival, a yearly event that showcases the talents of artists from all over the region, had always been a source of inspiration and wonder for me. But this year, there was an added buzz in the air. Jack Clifford and Evelyn Nesbit, two avant-garde artists known for their unconventional methods, had been invited to showcase their latest project: the Wendigo Art Bots.

As I took my seat in the gallery, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. The Wendigo Art Bots were a peculiar and mysterious force, capable of crafting art that seemed to transcend the limits of mortal comprehension. As Jack and Evelyn took the stage and activated their machines, the audience watched in awe as the artwork seemed to warp and twist the very fabric of reality itself.

But as we gazed upon the surreal creation, a creeping dread washed over us. It felt as though the art was not merely a representation of the unknown, but a doorway into it. A portal to worlds beyond our own. The atmosphere in the room became charged with an otherworldly energy, one that seemed to pulsate with malevolent intent. Jack and Evelyn, lost in the throes of artistic inspiration, seemed unaware of the growing terror that gripped those around them.

And then, as the Wendigo Art Bots reached the climax of their creation, a sudden, ear-splitting sound filled the air. The audience fled in panic, leaving the artists and their machines alone in the now empty gallery.

In the aftermath of the chaotic event, rumors circulated about what had occurred. Some whispered that Jack and Evelyn had summoned something ancient and malevolent through their art. Others spoke of the Brazen Serpent Wendigo Whisky, a mysterious substance that allowed the pair to delve into the secrets of the universe.

But no one really knows the truth of what happened that fateful night, and though the Wendigo Art Bots’ art lives on, it’s tainted by an aura of foreboding and terror, a reminder of the horrors that lay beyond the veil of our reality.
