Inside the Lead Mines with Grandfather Bellows, part 2

Part 1 recap: Nat Collins and Millard Bellows want to investigate a lead mine. On the expedition, they are joined by Grandfather Lew Bellows and a group of other men. As they make their way up the mountain, they come across a small cave with steam coming out of it and decide to investigate. They discover slimy creatures on the cave walls and begin to feel an increasing sense of danger as they progress deeper into the cave and sense a “evil presence” in the cave’s depths, which becomes darker and colder as they progress deeper into the cave.

Grandfather Lew Bellows: “It’s Indian lead! We’ve found the source of the mythical mine.”

Narrator Cub Bellows: “But despite their excitement, a feeling of dread had settled over them.”

Millard Bellows: “Look! That painting is watching us.”

Nate Collins: “It’s the same face as the one carved into the entrance of the cave! Is this mine cursed by some ancient evil?”

Nat Collins: “We need to get out of here. Now.”

Cub Bellows: “They never returned to that cave. The source of the lead remains a mystery.”
