Varthalox, the 17-foot-tall Wendigo, towered over everyone who ventured to cross his path. His massive body weighed over 900 pounds, and his hair was dark brown, almost black, and bristled with every movement he made. His fiery red eyes glowed with a ferocity that could make even the bravest of hearts quiver in dread.

Scars crisscrossed his body and face, bearing witness to the numerous battles he had fought in over the ages. His tattoos were of a mysterious and unknown pattern, reminiscent of the old Sumerian Anunnaki. They seemed to be infused with some otherworldly power, as if they were pulsing with an eerie energy.
Varthalox was a formidable opponent due to his reported mastery of several secret Wendigo Kung Fu moves. His lightning-fast movements belied his massive size and weight, providing him with a significant tactical edge over his opponents. He was a skilled manipulator and strategist who could play 10-dimensional chess with ease.
His mastery of the astral plane was perhaps his most terrifying talent. Thanks to a special elixir known as Brazen Serpent Wendigo Whisky, he and other Wendigo could journey to other realms and realities. The blood of the Chateaugay Lake Sea Serpent was used to create this potent hallucinogenic elixir, which enabled Varthalox to explore the unknown depths of the cosmos beyond.
Despite his terrifying reputation, Varthalox had a close connection with the Abenaki Indians of the Adirondacks’ Shatagee Woods region. He respected their spiritual leaders, the Abenaki Shaman, and their traditions and beliefs. They were allies until the early 1800s, when settlers came in and changed the balance.
Varthalox’s origins are shrouded in secrecy, and much speculation and conjecture exists in the Shatagee Woods about him. But one thing was certain: anyone who came into contact with him did so at their own risk.
